More About Mrs. Kim
As a Community-Based Preschool teacher for ACPS (Alexandria City Public Schools), Kimberly worked with preschoolers in public and private settings, and during home visits. What she enjoyed most as a teacher was having the opportunity to work not only with preschoolers but also with their classroom teachers and parents, also known as caregivers.

We Love Kids

“I believe that when we as teachers can make an impact on the lives of preschoolers and the adults they come in contact with on a daily basis, then we are successful. Sure, I would get excited when a child was progressing towards a goal, but I would be ecstatic when a child’s teacher or parent would inform me of their progress. That told me that what I was imparting to a child had become a goal for the team of individuals who also worked with that child.”

“I don’t know how many people realize the importance of early childhood education, but one thing I know is that the early years of a child’s life are precious. What I will expose them to will have an affect on their future educational experiences.
But I also believe that it continues to be a team effort. Parents are the first teacher, therefore, it is important to have an ongoing collaboration with parents.”
